July 18, 2025, a Friday night, Libby Environmental was called out to Post Angeles for emergency spill response. A 3,000 gallon fuel tanker had overturned into Indian Creek which directly feeds into the Elwha River; Port Angeles’ primary water source. Paul Burke was on-site in one of Libby’s mobile labs ready to analyze for gasoline, diesel, and oil Saturday morning.
Parked outside the Clallam County Courthouse, Libby Environmental’s mobile lab got the quickest answers for Port Angeles residents on the safety of their water. With only about a day’s worth of water on reserve this was of utmost importance.
